General Is it safe to install Bookmash ? - Bookmash do not carry any viruses or worm. Bookmash does not contain any spyware or any internal system to track down your activity on your computer. Is it free to use Bookmash ? - Yes it's free. Where are the videos, MP3, photos and news saved ? - The videos, MP3, photos and news are saved (by default) under your user directory (My Documents on Windows) under a bookmash folder. You can set up the directory to use from the Settings menu. How can I be notified about updates? - The application will notify you if any update is available. I found a bug (or many!!) in Bookmash, when will you have a stable version? - I am the only person working on it, Bookmash is still a beta version, so contact me via the form in Contact page and I will try to fix it when I'll find time. I can't find the answer to my question. - If you haven't found any answer to your questions, feel free to contact me from the form in contact page. Video Why some videos are not saved or are not playing ? - One common reason is because the video you are trying to play has been removed by the user or the video provider for various reason (copyright, violation of terms of usage,...). You can check by going to the video page by clicking on the page link (only in the grid mode view). Why some videos are stretched? - The videos are played in the format of the original flv. It has nothing to do with Bookmash. Can I play other format than Flash Video? - Only Flash Video is supported. Can I use Bookmash to watch .flv not saved from Bookmash ? - Yes, you can copy .flv files in the bookmash directory (usually your user directory under a bookmash folder) and play it from the menu 'Watch Offline videos'. How many videos can I save ? - There are no limitation on the number videos you can save. How can I upload videos to Youtube? - You need to register in Youtube. Then select the videos to upload, add some description and names on it, and just click Upload. Music I can't find every song I am looking for. - Bookmash is using Seeqpod to find MP3 songs hosted everywhere on the web. Copyrighted songs and some other songs might not be find from there. Can I use Bookmash to listen MP3 not saved from Bookmash ? - Yes, you can copy MP3 files in the bookmash directory (usually your user directory under a bookmash folder) and play it from the menu 'Listen Offline music'. Is it legal to download MP3 files? - MP3 lists are retrieved from Seepod search engine. Neither Bookmash or Seeqpod are responsible for your usage of this service. I can't control what you are downloading with Bookmash. You must check with laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws). Photo When do you plan to add Picasa support? - It will be released in 2008 Q4. Social When do you plan to add Opensocial support? - I hope in late 2008. |
